Honda Activa, Aviator and Dio, the trio from World’s No – 1 two wheeler manufacturer received an upgrade an upgrade in Indian market. The launch of these upgrades was took place during inauguration of Honda India’s Technical Center in Manesar, Gurgaon. Mechanically there are not much changes, but Honda has replaced the existing engine of these models by an all new Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine. The HET engine is more fuel efficient and according to company, the new variants will return mileage in the range of 60Km/ltr.
Honda Activa, the first and most successful product from the Japanese major is powered by a 109cc engine. The HET technology will ensure best in class mileage. This engine can produce 8BHP maximum power and a peak torque of 8.74Nm at 5500RPM. This model comes with all standard features like Combi Brake System (CBS), Anti Theft Shutter lock, 18 liter under seat storage. Honda is offering new Activa in an additional shade – Wild Purple – as well. Current shade options – Grey, Pearl White, Black and Red – will continue to be available. The new Honda Activa price is Rs.47,188 (ex-showroom New Delhi)
The new Honda Aviator engine also replaced by new engine, the scooter is offered in both Standard and Deluxe variants. In this model also, Honda has not changed expect the engine. The model gets an additional color – Royal Gold Metallic. With the addition of this color New Honda Aviator will be available in four colors – Red, White, Black and Royal Gold Metallic.The prices of new Honda Aviator are Rs. 48,212/- for the Standard variant and Rs. 53,531/- for the Deluxe variant (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
Honda Dio is one of the stylish scooter in Indian market and it has got better now. Thanks to Honda’s Eco Technology engine which is fuel efficient compared to the existing engine. The engine helps Honda Dio to return 60km per liter mileage. Like other two products, Honda Dio has also another color option – Pearl Yellow. With this color, Honda Dio is now available in four shades – Red, White, Grey and Pearl Yellow. The new Honda Dio is priced at Rs.44,701 (ex show room New Delhi).
Honda has been consistently growing in Indian market and bridging the gap between their erstwhile partner Hero Motocorp. We think the revised products will make the journey faster.
