Honda CBR150R finally landed in India. This is second launch from Honda in India in this year, earlier we saw a completely new Dio Scooter. Honda CBR150R was displayed in 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo. There are two variants of CBR150R on offer, Standard and Deluxe. While the Standard variant is priced at Rs.1.16 lakhs the deluxe variant is just Rs.1000 more expensive. The standard variant is available in two paint options – Black with Pearl Sunbeam White and Sports Red with Pearl Sunbeam White. The Deluxe option has special graphics and available in Black with Candy Palm Green & Vibrant Orange with Pearl Sunbeam White colour choices.
Honda CBR150R is equipped with a DOHC 150cc engine which produces max power of 17.6 BHP at 10,500 RPM and max torque of 12.66 Nm at 8500rpm. The liquid cooled, PGM-FI backed engine ensure maximum efficiency and power output. Built on tubular chassis with mono-shock set up, Honda CBR150R will have good stability and comfort. It runs on a set of tube less tyres in the front and rear. Both front and rear gets disc brakes which will ensure better braking.
Honda says CBR150R is designed in keeping mind better aerodynamic characteristics. Overall the CBR150R is looking exactly similar to it’s elder sibling CBR250R.
Honda CBR150R bookings are currently underway at selected dealerships across India. Deliveries will start by end of this month.
With the launch of CBR150R, 150cc segment is expected to witness fierce competition. The pricing of Honda CBR150R is aimed to give tough competition to Yamaha YZF R15. Bajaj KTM Duke-200 and Hero MotorCorp Karizma ZMR are others who need to be watchful. Though Honda has not officially disclosed the mileage considering the engine size, mileage could be CBR150R’s major attraction. By end of this month, Honda aims to sell 750 units of CBR150R.
