Mahindra Xylo H-Series comes to Pune

Mahindra Xylo, the people mover from home grown SUV specialist Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd has undergone a heart transplantation. The company has replaced the 2.5ltr  m-Eagle engine with a 2.2ltr m-Hawk engine. The engine is a familiar one – doing duty in Mahindra Scorpio for the past few years. While the new engine is smaller compared to the outgoing engine, it is powerful yet fuel efficient.

“The Xylo has since its introduction in 2009 carved a unique identity for itself in the area of class leading space and comfort. The addition of the world class mHawk engine will further boost its performance and take it a notch higher in its segment.  Equipped with higher power and better efficiency, we are sure that the new Xylo H-series will be a popular choice amongst the discerning personal buyers,” said Mr. Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd.

Mahindra Xylo was launched in 2009 and had a good start. But Xylo could not maintain the initial momentum and sales are facing resistance due to launch of new products in it’s segment. We need to wait and see the market response to the new Mahindra Xylo with new heart.
