Maruti Wagon R facelift has been made an appearance in company’s latest television commercial. The commercial which features the entire product line up of Maruti Suzuki in India in colorful back ground of various Indian festivals. The facelifted Wagon R has made a quick appearance for few seconds. The current model of Maruti Suzuki Wagon R has been in Indian market for the last three years and it is the perfect time for the model to get a facelift.
The model previewed in the advertisement is a pure facelift, there are not much changes to write about. The changes are limited to styling department, the sheet metals have been kept untouched. The front grille has been revised to give a refreshing look. The air dam in the facelifted Wagon R is huge and looks similar to latest Maruti Suzuki Ritz’s air dam. The fog lamp housing has been revised by stretching the same. We could not spot the ‘Blue Eyes’ in the facelifted Wagon R. In the rear, story is similar to front end. The tail lamps have received a very minor beautification. Rest everything same as that of outgoing model. We don’t expect much changes in the interior.
Maruti Wagon R is sold in India in various fuel options – ie Petrol, LPG and CNG.
Maruti Wagon R facelift will make it’s official debut during first quarter of 2013. But there is no official confirmation on the same. Going by recent trends, there could be an upward revision of the prices during the launch of Maruti Wagon R facelift. Maruti Suzuki is very prompt in reviewing the sales performance of the products regularly. As we said earlier, Maruti Wagon R is entering the fourth year in Indian markets and company is all set to give fresh look to the ageing warrior. Maruti Wagon R is a capable product especially the utilitarian nature of the car gives an edge over it’s competition. But Maruti Wagon R lacks a diesel engine. We don’t expect a diesel powered Wagon R during this round of revision as well. Anyway let us wait for the official launch of Maruti Wagon R facelift.
